Network Solutions shopping cart is great for setting up a store and items. It is user friendly and looks good. The challenges come with integrating with QuickBooks Point of Sale with product variations. The integration product is still in development and not working the way you would expect. I would wait until they get the integration tool figured out with true integration. If you are not in need of the point of sale integration their shopping cart is great.
I use the Network Solutions solution (formally monster commerce) It has 90% of the features you need, what is missing they are actively working on right now to implement. I am a huge fan of the hosted solution and right now I don’t know of any better solution than the Network Solutions one!
I was with Network Solutions for the first 6 months of my online store’s operation, and it quickly became a nightmare. Between the slow servers, extreme difficulty getting them to properly install an SSL, and poor after hours support (you’re talking to someone in India), I was tearing my hair out. When (not if) this happens to you, I recommend going to the Miva support forums for advice on better hosts. I’ve been with Hostasaurus for 2 years now, and it’s like night and day compared to Network Solutions. Besides the load time of my site being literally 4 times faster, when you get support there, you’re talking to an actual network technician, not a customer service rep reading a FAQ.
I was excited about using Network Solutions because their carts are very nice. However the POS integration did not work at all. I gave them a month and a half before canceling, calling tech support once a week. The products wouldn’t even upload to the store. The developers didn’t resolve the issue at all. Also, they say they support POS, but all their documentation is just for QuickBooks. I was pretty disappointed. I hope they get this integration working in the future.
Hi,
I have already seen it somethere…

“I just want to say “Thank You” for the wonderful people you have hired. We came to MonsterCommerce after experiencing “the shopping cart from hell” for 6 months. That actually involved more than one cart – and a very poor web host. Finally, Jerry Trump, our marketing exec, said “enough” and took the matter into his own hands, and found your company. Your tech people were incredible. They were understanding of our inexperience in computers, helpful beyond anything we could have asked, always cheerful – even though we gave them (as they said) “the biggest mess they’ve ever encountered”.
The cart i stated with was network solutions/monster commerce. Lets just say that it took me many months to recover from the nightmares that i encountered there and I think the good comments are absolute joke. They obviously haven’t had a live site with them for an extended period of time.
